First-time snow man

If you hadn't heard, the Midwest got hit by a blizzard a few weeks ago. An even more rare event--they closed work. Wahoo! Anyway, it turned out to be a chillingly fun snow day for the little man and I.

Hudson had his first true taste of snow--literally, two feet out the door, Hud faceplanted into the powder. I pulled him back up as soon as I could stop laughing get over there to find that the little adventurer's hood, nose, and neck were packed with snow. Welcome to winter, Huddy Buddy! He was none too impressed.

After that rite of passage, he was a little more than hesitant to be outside, to say the least. I believe the words in his head would have been, "Get me the #^*$ inside, NOW!" However, we were equipped with an inflatable saucer sled coupled with a magnificently sloped hill. A recipe for changing minds, no doubt.

A few treks down on laps, and Hudman was ready to take it on his own.

With a little help, he was exuberant about the " 'now."

Crash!

Hey! Again again again mister!

The sled may or may not have been "holy" by the time we got done. Literally, and in Hudson's eyes.
