Where oh where?

If you haven't noticed, I have taken a break from blogging. Where I once blogged 3 times a week has now dwindled to a few rare moments per month. In my early months of pregnancy I started blogging, naively thinking that I would be able to chronicle the daily misadventures of my life with my babe and all his exciting developments, splashed with bits of my profound wisdom and musings.

I was inspired by the likes of Wannabe Hippie and The Pioneer Woman, in addition to all the lovely ladies you read from the BlogHer network under the ad. Mad dedication, I tell you.

It was going swell until I got caught in the daily grind of an hour (one-way) commute to a full time job with big girl bills and the responsibilities of living alone with a rambunctious toddler. Add in dashes of photography gigs and the Etsy store and here we are. Poor, poor me and my fortunate life. No love for the blog except for some occasional outdated photos. I haven't even dished about Hudson's amazing developments in ages. Did you know the kid can point to objects when you ask him where they are?! Mastery of nouns, oh my! In addition to his verbal accomplishments, Hudson is right on the mark in physicality...meaning he hits, pulls hair, and gnaws like any bratty 1.5 year old you ever did see.

Truth is, I don't get to spend a lot of time with my love bug anymore. And the time that I do get involves me being the complete opposite of a good blogger. Turns out that chronicling the ever-changing antics of my spirited wonder aren't as easy as churning out a few paragraphs before bed.

Don't get me wrong, dear (5) readers, I'm not abandoning this here web log because I'm a lazy son-of-a-gun. I'm just admitting defeat in my earlier pursuits. Instead of the daily diary of every odd sensation and triumphant milestone for Hudson to enjoy later, this little piece of Internet has morphed into a sprinkling of semi-cute blurbs and quick updates.
