I couldn't even snap a few good ones of the crowd and chaos because I was too busy trying to help Hudson along with his egg gathering. It was getting serious there towards the end. I heard one parent comment that Hudson grabbed the last two eggs (one in each hand) when there were three kids around. Ya snooze ya lose.

We didn't come home with a huge bounty, especially since Hudson stopped to open each of his eggs before putting them in his basket--thereby spilling his two Tootsie Rolls on the ground every time. So the process was this: pick up egg, open egg, notice candy fell, pick up candy, put in candy in basket, pick up egg parts that we dropped to pick up the candy, put those in basket, stand up and stare, meander to another egg eventually, repeat.
In part due to Hudson's urging of "cupcake, cupcake" (code for candy of any sort), most of his dozen bite-size candies are gone before the actual holiday. Not that Mommy helped, of course.
